This course is designed to introduce students to the LabVIEW software package as well as provide some hands-on experience with control systems. 1st and 2nd order systems are investigated including DC motor speed and position control. Conventional PID control is implemented as well as a linear quadratic regulator (LQR) for pendulum swing-up and stabilization.
